When sharing a screen in Teams you can now use annotation mode. Whatever you have shared becomes an image that you and the meeting attendees can use as a drawing board You see their mouse pointers as well as the content they add, including text, reactions, and laser pointers.
To switch on annotation mode:
a. In a Teams meeting, Share a screen (it won’t work if you only share a window)
b. Move your mouse pointer to the very top of the shared screen and a menu will appear
c. Click the pen icon “Start Annotation”
d. A few seconds later an additional toolbar appears at the top of the screen for you and the other meeting attendees
e. To end the Annotation session click the same icon again
If you want to reference the annotations later, you will need to take a screenshots before exiting the annotation session (they aren’t saved anywhere at the moment).
