A new feature in the Excel Desktop is being rolled out. Checkbox.  

Watch out for it.

How to insert the Checkbox in Excel Desktop

Click in the cell where you want the Checkbox.

On the Insertย tab, click on Checkbox.

The checkbox will be inserted into the current cell.  It will move with the cell. 

The checkbox colour is controlled by cell colour – Home, Font Colour.

The checkbox alignment is controlled by cell alignment – Home, Alignment.

The cell with the checkbox will contain the value TRUE or FALSE depending if the checkbox is ticked or not.
